abstract = "This work focused the brittle deformation of a siliciclastic body
(sandstone with conglomeration) outcropping near Santana do
Acara{\'u} city (Cear{\'a}-state, Brasil), and it basement
(mainly gneissic rocks). By using Landsat images the lineaments
were identified and classified according to their directions. A
terrain digital model was built and stressed the information of
the faults controlling the geometry of the siliciclastic body. The
brittle deformation is interpreted as due to a high crustal level
reactivation of a mega ductile sheer zone known as Sobral-Pedro-II
lineament. This area is taken as analogous of the deformation
acting also in the basins of the Brazilian equatorial margin.",
